Refund Policy
Refund requests submitted within 24 hours of the relevant charge are eligible for manual review. A request is not an automatic refund. Your mandatory legal rights always take priority.
The 24-hour review window
Submit your request within 24 hours of the successful charge shown on your receipt. This applies to the relevant initial or renewal charge. We review requests individually and tell you the outcome. The review window is our discretionary policy; it does not shorten a cancellation or refund right provided by law.
How to request a refund
Email grey@greyjabesi.com with the subject “Career Parrot refund request”. Include your account email, charge date, receipt or invoice reference, and a brief reason. Do not send a password, full card details or CV.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights concerning faulty or misdescribed services and any applicable cooling-off or cancellation period. Where UK distance-contract cancellation rights apply, a consumer may have a 14-day cancellation right. Other countries, including South Africa and Malawi, may provide additional mandatory protections. A legally required refund is not subject to our discretion or the 24-hour review window. Requesting immediate service access does not by itself waive your statutory rights. If applicable law permits a proportionate charge for services supplied at your express request before cancellation, we will explain any assessment.
Cancelling future renewals
Cancel your subscription using Manage billing in Settings before the next renewal, or contact us if you cannot access it. The billing screen shows when cancellation and access take effect. A one-time PayChangu payment has no automatic renewal to cancel; its access end date is shown in Settings. Cancellation of a Stripe subscription prevents future renewals; it does not automatically refund a charge already made. A refund request does not by itself cancel future renewals, so tell us if you also want to cancel.
Deleting your account
Account deletion cancels a linked membership immediately, ends access and removes your cloud profile and saved applications. It does not automatically issue a refund. You may still contact us about any refund or statutory right after deleting your account.
Approved refunds
An approved refund is returned through the original payment method where supported by the payment provider. Provider and bank processing times vary. We will confirm the decision and any refund reference; we do not promise a fixed bank arrival time.
Optional cancellation notice
You may use this wording, but it is not required: “To Opinionated Technologies (grey@greyjabesi.com): I give notice that I cancel my Career Parrot subscription service. Account email: __. Order or charge date/reference: __. Name: __. Date: __.”
